An introductory comics class where you will explore comics fundamentals such as panel composition, pacing, drawing skills, and story development.
When: Wednesdays October 7, 14, 21, and 28, 2026 from 6pm-8pm
Ages/Level: Teens and Adults ages 13+, All skill levels welcome!
Cost, which includes all materials: $150 non-members/$135 for CFAER Members

About Teaching Artist Jose Pimienta: Jose Pimienta is an award-winning Comics author and illustrator who has worked with numerous publishers like Random House Graphic, Iron Circus Comics, Dark Horse Comics, Candlewick Press, and more. They have collaborated with wonderful writers and artists to bring unique comics to life. Their work experience is also filled with storyboard work for film, animation, and lots of commercials. Jose grew up in the City of Mexicali, Mexico and currently lives in Burbank. Their other passions are biking, community organizing, and discussing music.
